Working out and fatigue..

Senior Member
Hey everyone, well after my college finals madness, I've been hitting the gym non stop for the past two weeks and I've got to say it feels great, the only down side is this 90°plus weather, it's not easy on a big guy like me, been rotating my work outs trying to get some muscle confusion, today will be chest, and I do my 15 to 25 min of cardio treadmill 14° inclined to get the most out of it, still monitoring my food intake so I won't get the shakes, no gear all natural so far, just wish I would feel more energetic, well hope everyone has a great week.....

hey brother... you have the right mindset but have you experienced a lot of fatigue or issues with this in the past? have you drastically dropped your calorie intake?

Man I work out with a big bro. Ex pro defensive end.. i thin about 6'8 around 325lbs, and when summer comes he drinks an extra 3 gallons of water, and about every 2 hours eats a tootsie roll.He also does not do cardio in the summer....if he does it is only 10 mins on a recumbent bike...and drinks water the whole time and does tootsie rolls. You can't go from sitting and studying to full out weights plus cardio. Maybe slow down some.

I work in a very hot manufacturing plant that gets into the 110-130 degree range in the summer, and I have experienced some of the things you have. Make sure you are staying well hydrated. You should always be getting 1-2 gallons per day and even more when you are sweating a lot from exercise and high heat. Also proper electrolyte balance with plenty of potassium enriched foods and adequate sodium intake. And of course making sure you are getting the carbs you need. I know you are cutting, but glycogen depletion through cardio and being in the heat increases your carbohydrate requirements.

I think it's my lack of cardio since I was hitting the books, I kind of got lazy, and with the extra weight I get tired fast, I just need to get used to it again. In the near future I will be adding sarms to my work out routine maybe this will give me an edge.

That's true, I will try to modify my work load and drink more water, thanks.

I never even new all of that, but it makes allot of sense, I don't drink as much water as I should, and the potassium, I have been getting some cramps in the night, really good stuff, thanks for pointing all of this out RickRock, this will definitely help...

I second this post. Increasing my potassium and sodium w/ normal water requirements did help. The sodium increase seemed to help the most even with regulating my appetite.

Also, dieting as a natural, overtraining coupled with cardio and too low of a body fat led to major fatigue. It hits me during the day, usually sporadically and can be debilitating. If you don't mind describing more of your symptoms, I'd be glad to offer some help. Sometimes stopping the cardio and focusing on just lifting with the attention of recovery can help as well. In your case recovery is already low, so why add to an already high stress state? Sometimes I lean out afer reducing the cardio too. This is speaking in terms of a natural.

Is it both lethargy and fatigue? Feels like weight is strapped to your body?
