Here's a Hilarious Fathers Day Story For You...

As most of you know, I lost my father unexpectedly this year and it was the most difficult time I have ever had in my life... I am honestly still having some issues with this and probably always will but I am doing my absolute best with everything... I think I tried to be so strong for everyone else that I forgot to let out a lot that I should have... Regardless, my main concern yesterday was taking care of my mom who clearly needs more support than anyone and I am far from selfish and know when it is time to put my own feelings aside and take care of someone who needs it more, and my mother is everything to me... That being said...

I spent the day with her... We sat in my pool for an hour and laughed and talked, watched tv together and just laughed... When my fiance got home from work, I told them all we could play monopoly... We had bought a brand new monopoly board when we were Christmas shopping last year that we had not even opened... Great idea right? WRONG... I sent my fiance to go get the game and she brings it down and as I am tearing it open my mom says, is this in spanish or english? I said, "what the fuck!" The entire box was in spanish LOLLLL... So for instance, boardwalk was called El Muelle, etc... FUCK ME... Its a good thing I took 4 years of Spanish and still understand it so we ended up playing anyway, laughing our ass off at ourselves trying to pronounce certain words... It was actually extremely fun although I did have to give a big beatdown to everyone as I had Boardwalk and Park Place along with two other monopolies and so I took it home baby! LOLLL

That's hilarious man. I didn't even know they had a Spanish version, but it doesn't surprise me one bit. I would be so lost with a Spanish version, but I could probably make it through a German one. I took 4 years of that in school that I never really used for anything lol

That's a great story though man. Those are the kinds of things that build great memories.

That shit is pretty damn funny man. I like the part about how you were in the pool, while the Fiance' was working! hahahahaha :D

Not a bad way to learn a little Spanish, hell we all know Monopoly.

And a real stand up move how you spent the day, not that I'd expect anything less from you. Giving to others is truly your standard protocol.

Probably good for both you and your mom to spend the day together with your loss being so recent.

LOL i had no clue either but it really was fun... we made it extremely fun... just a lot of laughing etc. but i smoked everyone as usual... THAT is my game and i refuse to lose it! my fiance had literally never played it... i had already made it around the board and bought four properties before either of them made it around once... i got lucky landing on the "chance" cards and it took me right around the board on my first roll, LOLLL... "Take a ride on the reading, if you pass go collect 200" well that's what its SUPPOSED to say... who knows wtf the spanish version said! i could decipher because i played so much monopoly i literally still have all the properties, costs and all the chance and community chest cards memorized...

thanks brother, i appreciate that... it was FAR more important to make her happy than anything else bro... the last thing i was going to do was watch her be in any sort of pain whatsoever... not having it at all

You've got a big heart, Dylan. (Your secret's safe with me tho ;) lol) takes a real man to put his own wants/needs/feelings aside for the sake of someone else. I'm glad you were able to turn the day into a positive experience and "yo quero taco bell" the crap outta everyone lol Altho maybe you shoulda let mama win lol

Thank you, I really appreciate that... I truly do... It is not hard for me to put my feelings or wants aside whatsoever... It used to be when I was younger but as I have grown, not only in maturity, but with God and just as a person, this all is quite easy for me... However losing at something or letting others win IS NOT!! LOLLL Sorry, I can only do so much but when it comes to competition, I draw the line!! :D

Lol! I'm very competitive too. It's hard to let my kids win sometimes lol and i know what you mean. I had to grow up at a young age, so I probably put myself last more often than I should.

I too lost my father unexpectedly when I was younger. It turned our family upside down. I too had to be strong to hold everyone together because I am the oldest. All I can say is one day at a time and it does get better.

As far as the monopoly game that's hilarious!!!
