Help with athletes foot!

Hey guys. Embarrassing subject, I know, but I have been dealing with athletes foot for a few weeks now and it is really a problem for me. I have tried a lot of different things to try to cure it: foot spray, cider vinegar soak, baking soda, listerine... My sneakers for the gym are new, and I always wear clean socks, and am in general a very clean person. Does anyone have advice for me? It is affecting my training a bit, especially with cardio and with calf raises because my feet burn. I just need this to be over with! Please help me out! Thanks a lot, guys.

you don't shower in a community shower without shower shoes do you? I used to have it bad when I lived in the barracks. well that's what the docs said anyways i used to soak mine in borax laundry detergent its in a box with mules on the front of it. and make sure you are drying your feet real good before putting socks of shoes on

Lotrinim ultra it can take up to 3 weeks to get rid of it and you have to keep up on it 2-4 times a day

Over the counter Corticosteroid creams have worked the good to fix it for me when it flares up. There is one thing that helps prevent athletes foot for me. It so simple. I dry between my toes after a shower or a really hard sweat. Changed everything for me. I used to have it between my toes bad. A doc said to use a towel after the shower to dry ml between my toes. It worked.

I use the Lotrimin Ultra Antifungal Cream

Tinactin Athletes Foot Cream

Athlete's foot is closely related to other fungal infections such as ringworm and jock itch. It can be treated with over-the-counter antifungal medications, but the infection often recurs.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT use cortisone cream, it is steroids for fungus...HUGE mistake!!!!!

Cortisone does not treat fungus is correct. There are numerous antifungal agents otc. They all were scripts at one time, except for desinex, but even desinex works. Try them all, you will find one that works. If you do not comletely dry your feet and in between your toes then you open up a generous environment for fungus. Even if you touch the fungus with your feet and then completely dry them it makes it hard for the fungus to thrive. For now..dry them apply cream or spray and powder them.

Thanks for all the help, fellas. I will definitely be purchasing something with the word "Ultra" on it! Also, does anyone know if using baby powder on your feet before working out helps to prevent recurrence of athletes foot by keeping them dryer?

The biggest issue bro is the OTC antifungal creams take a week or two too fully kill it off but they will knock out the symptoms in a couple days . you need too keep using it for a couple weeks alot of guys use it two days itching and burning goes away and they stop before its cured then it just flares back up .

Yeah very good point. Fungal infections are very hard to treat and never go away quickly.Even if the symptoms stop then keep using the antifungal for another 2 weeks.
A lot of guys that are prone to these infections just powder their feet every day with Desnex. I have never gotten it, so I guess you have to be susceptible.

I am I use too get athletes foot and jock itch alot and Id treat till the symptoms subsided then it would come right back . then I kept using two weeks and it would stay gone

Id bet money soaking them in apple cider vinegar would do the trick.

Well you rinse after lol but really any fungus I'd think. I have a wart on my finger that was huge and apple cider vinegar has killed it to the point of being quite small now. The acetic acid content I believe is what does it.

There is also a laser treatment available for this crap too.But there is a laser treatment for everything isn't there?
