Sodium sensitive with weight loss

I've noticed since I stared losing weight(fat),if I go too much over my sodium limits I bloat like a damn puffer fish.I had some bacon & eggs after my workout & it wasn't the low sodium bacon I usually get.Now I can barely get my wedding ring off my finger.
I never noticed this as much when I was overweight.

Anyone else bloat like crazy when they go too heavy on the sodium? It could be the MK-677 too,but I've been eating a lot of potassium & drinking at least a gallon of water a day.

Its very common. Just a sodium imbalance.
When in doubt, more potassium and more water.
What are you eating for potassium. Try dates.

excess sodium swells you like a balloon, mk677 or not but with 677 or hgh its far worse... sodium is a huge water retainer... if you ever have had like a cooked ham dinner or eaten subway etc... notice how you bloat? subway is a HUGE bloater... fucking sodium filled processed meats... its no good... i keep my sodium to a very low minimum... i dont use salt on anything and i eat nothing high in sodium whatsoever... i am not a salt fan though so that helps...

Mostly sweet potatoes, spinach & other leafy greens. Some fruit.I try not to eat too much fruit cause of the sugar content. It's not refined sugar but it's still sugar.

Yeah I usually steer clear of all lunch meats. They're loaded with sodium. My one weakness is roast beef & of course bacon. :) Like I said I usually get the low sodium bacon.I must have misread the package when I bought it.I though it tasted too salty when I was eating it..

I know salmon is extremely good for you but I just can't get past the texture of it.It always feels slimy in my mouth. It's the one thing I don't eat when I get sushi.I don't like it cooked either.

i hate salmon too but the fact is, its filled with potassium... if you can do 8 out of 10 on the list then thats pretty damn good...

Check it...
Try the dates.
1 cup of chopped dates contains 694mg of potassium.
Half a fillet of Salmon is 719mg. Not far off.

Personally though I would go with the salmon. Salmon and I don't have any disagreements.

It's a sudde. Influx of higher sodium that brings on the bloat. Even being consistently a little on the high side, your body adapts and will level out without bloat. Your body doesn't like big shifts in elctrolyte balance. That's what brings on that crazy water weight

I used to think salt bloats me it maybe it did. Until I read on electrolyte balance. I get 4g of salt a day but I also get 5g of potassium a day. I make sure to get magensium in. Salt leans my face up now not bloats it. When I change nothing but lower sodium my face will bloat and hold water. The worst move I ever made out of all my mistakes was going low sodium. It hurt my thyroid so much and much more. Read on how salt is good for you and how it can reduce bloating and you will see what I mean.

And the best part of all is my muscles are fuller than ever before. Since sodium does hold water in the body but it wont cause the bloated look you are worried about that is over the skin not in the muscle.

I remember the first time I decided to go higher sodium intake. I woke up the next day and scaled myself since I was dieting. I was horrifed that I had gained 8-10lbs over night. I went to put my cloths back on and go rage at some people online who I listened too and as I went to grab my shirt I glanced in the mirror and my jaw dropped to the floor. I had never ever looked so good in my entire life. My body was so full. I could not believe my eyes.

My preferred salt is called Himalayan pink salt... its pink. It comes from the Himalayas and is unrefined and untouched by any chemicals. Celtic sea salt is the second best.

i prefer chopped dates as opposed to whole dates... it would be kind of like that but it tastes different... they are really good... get chopped dates and put them in your oatmeal...

Alright thanks guys.I guess I just need to up my potassium some more.I'm going to look into that Himalayan pink salt too.It sounds interesting.

I've been in a 200 calorie deficit. The fat loss is kinda slow.I know I should shoot for 400-500 but I can't stand being hungry all the time.

you need some extra fiber in your diet... fiber will regulate insulin, make you feel full etc... it triggers your brain to tell you to stop eating...

It's not so much about eating too much sodium, but it's about keeping your sodium intake consistent. The fluctuation in sodium intake is what causes the bloat so just keep your intake consistent and make sure you are getting equal or more potassium:sodium ratio.
