*Yes, I know its not his "last" video, it was supposed to say "one of his latest videos" but I guess you cant edit titles, huh* :/

I am sure most of us here follow Dylan on youtube and watch all his videos, here is a link to one of his latest videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlwald4GnTQ Dont forget to subscribe.

Anyways, I almost always enjoy Dylans videos and I feel that I learn a lot from them but this time...yes, he is right that 99% of all people working out under 25 should avoid taking steroids. I should probably avoid them too, not because I am young but because I have a little to much BF (working on that btw).

But, IF you want to become a professional bodybuilder today and rise to the top you pretty much HAVE TO start taking gear in your early 20s (or younger) because the guys you are competing against are doing it. I am not saying its good for you or your health, but I am saying that if you got the genetics, if you got the mindset and the drive, if you are an "Arnold" as Dylan said in the video, if you are that 1% guy and you want to be the best then you HAVE TO take steroids even if you aren't "ready".

Maybe Dylan was talking out of a health perspective only or maybe just addressing us "normal people" and not the elite 1% among us, I dont know. But I believe he should have mentioned this because it is the reality.

Or what do you think?

Yes...people start young. Push to be that champion, but you have to be Damn certain that this is your career, your dream, not some bullshit fad because you will suffer consequences later in life for it..it's very rare to see a retired bb that hasn't had his share of health problems and on trt permanently..it's just fact. And also fact is 99 percent of the members here just bb for a hobby/lifestyle.there May be 2 or 3 members here who is doing this as a career..so Dylan is addressing that audience. How to use safely/properly for the average Joe fitness enthusiasts..I reccomend anyone who has made such a life changing career decision to get with him personally for cycles/questions/guidance. But the majority of ppl here just do this on the side while handling a wife/family/job ect and videos are specifically designed to address that group.

In my opinion the drive to be a pro should NEVER become priority over health, safety, and doing things the right way. So, I don't see any reason to even bring it up. Why in the world would anybody want to take those measures at an early age to become a pro anyways? There's literally NO money in it at all, and you will spend WAY more than you ever get from it. Besides that it's a pipe dream that very few accomplish. I'm all for chasing your dreams, but for what cost?? Most people just don't have the genetics to become a pro and they never would no matter what they took or what theur diet was, or how hard they train. It's just the way it is.

So for me it makes zero sense to do dumb shit like that when you're young because no matter what you do you potentially fuck yourself up chasing something that 99.99% can't touch no matter how hard they try. The risk far outweighs the reward and its not something I endorse in any way, shape, or form.

This is a subject im passionate about because im tired of seeing so many young guys looking for shortcuts, when they dont want to put their time in and earn anything. Ive said this many times, but I paid my dues, and I feel everyone should before touching anything. My first cycle?? 36 fucking years old, and I think it's safe to say I'm in a pretty decent place physique wise. This is a marathon...not a sprint. Don't fucking forget it

I agree that it never "SHOULD" become a priority over health and safety but that does not change the fact that it is happening. If you want a chance to become a mr olympia or mr universe (or almost any other BB title) you HAVE TO do whatever it takes and the truth is that whatever it takes (besides training, diet, motivation etc) is a shit ton of drugs. You will probably fuck yourself up and shorten your life with 10-15 years but thats the reality of the business.

I dont understand how you can say that there is no money in it though. For those truly genetically gifted among us that will grow like monsters on gear, there is potentially a lot of money to be made. Even if you dont become a world renowned top bodybuilder, a 1 in 10000 physique will still open a lot of opportunities as a model, actor etc.

Yes, for us normal people with no dreams or hopes of becoming pro bodybuilders its a marathon but for the pros, its a sprint cause they only have those 5-10 years to make a name for themselves in the business and if they fail to do it then they will end up pisspoor with a zillion health problems, no work skills and no money to pay the hospital bills.

i thoroughly disagree... yes, in one aspect a lot do use juice, yes... however, 99% of the people competing are already genetically gifted in crazy ways... if your already not at that point then the likelihood of getting there is very low... also, there truly IS NOT NEARLY the kind of money you think there... there's "possibilities" yes but they are very very limited.. ive been around this FAR longer than you and i dare to say i have a small grasp on how this works... ive seen so many guys that are straight fucking animals, i mean physiques like you could not even dream and yes, they get a card, and they literally have nothing to show for it but the fucking card... they get auditions for things but TRUST ME and you DEFINITELY don't have anything like my experience here... i modeled internationally and professionally nearly a decade, and those auditions are the most fucking cut throat and difficult things you have EVER encountered and UNLESS your in the few 1-2% that happens to get a major campaign, the money is so frugal, just as it is in bodybuilding... your very misled if you believe your going to become crazy rich doing this... unless you happen to be in that rare 1-2 %... if for some reason you really have all these attributes, then possibly i can understand but you have a better chance of winning the lotto... im not trying to crush a dream but im speaking in reality... ive been through it all, ive seen it all and i have so much experience with it that i already know how this process goes... you will NEVER convince me that you need to start juicing at your age UNLESS you have a GUARANTEE to be some sort of millionaire in the sport and as i said, you have a far better chance of winning the powerball... its fine to say some of the things you have but when you come off like a know it all in your early 20's, im sorry but i dont have the time nor patience to hear shit like that... its disgusts me to say the least... if you really feel like your in that 1% then go for it, thats up to you but just know your going to pay dearly for it later

Dylan, I have a lot of respect for you but did you even read my post or did you just read the thread title?
I am 33 years old. I have average genetics. I OBVIOUSLY dont consider myself to be one of the "elite 1%" that I was talking about and neither am I in my "early 20s", so it would be nice if you could stop talking to me like if I would have proposed either of those things.

What I am saying is that if you dont take gear at an early age, your chance of success in the business is 0, nada, nothing.
If you take it your chance might be 0.1% but thats still A LOT more than nothing at all.

I mean sure, you can be clean and compete....as long as you dont expect to win.

You are sorely mistaken about the money bro. Unless you are top 5 in the Olympia, 99% of pros don't make dick. Maybe a grand here and there for a guest posing, and another grand per month at best from a supplement company is what some of the better ones get. Many of them still have full time jobs because they can't make it without. That bro, is the absolute truth whether you want to believe it or not.

ahh i got ahead of myself... i thought you were in your early 20s for some reason so in that regards, thats my mistake and i apologize...

however if you truly believe you have absolutely zero chance without juicing in your early 20's well your wrong, flat out... yes, many use and yes, it will definitely give you a better chance but using that early etc. is not mandatory.. at some point, yes and maybe even earlier than i would recommend, 24 or 25 years old, although i firmly disagree with this use, i could possibly understand... however there's a fine line and saying you HAVE to is not something i agree with... my apologies for the confusion on the age thing... huge oversight on my part... you have to understand the amount of hours im on here daily though... not to make an excuse but so you understand...

Since you both basically are saying the same thing...I might be wrong. I guess I have watched too much of my favorite all natural builder Rich Piano and other youtube profiles like the Hodget twins etc.

All the really big guys I know are all on gear and I have never seen anyone natural with a physique that would stand a chance in competitions, but then again, I have far from the amount of experience you guys have.

Thanks for the answers though.

rich knows a lot but he also is full of shit a lot... his problem is he thinks he is smarter than he is and hes a stubborn person... he exaggerates and he bull shits quite a bit, like 75% of the time so its hard to take a lot he says as more than a grain of salt... he's all fucked up mentally... serious serious steroid abuse to say the least and i believe its made him a bit "mental" LOL... so take it for what its worth...
