Hi everyone,
Here I am 5 full weeks into my first cycle. 500mg test., goal: pure bulking.
I've been eating like a machine, diet has been more or less clean. Pretty much what I showed in "daily meals thread. I don't have any cheat meal days right now etc. Especially on cycle I'm trying to bulk clean.
- But, I do feel though I'm adding up more fat that I would like to even eating as best as I can with my life's rhythm. Should I worry about it while bulking? Could there some part be playing water retention?
One of my sins is I don't count calories. I eat so many different things I just keep loosing track. Even clean "enough" diets has their little salts and sugars, from meats to fruits etc. but I eat a lot, I really have an appetite of king kong. Interesting, some ppl often again complain not having enough appetite.
My weekly cardio: every day I'm cycling to work, 12min one way 12 back. I'm on purpose pedaling fast enough, taking it as cardio training, enjoing fresh ear. As usually I'm not so active in the gym as I should.
I have around 7 min warmup every pre-workout, 1-2 times a week I do 15-20min intesive cardio. Last few months just one. My workouts are really hardcore, and often I feel worn out mentaly for cardio. Yes, I sinned on cardio I admit. Still some ppl seems getting away with even less. I kinda go by feeling (on bulk) the more I eat, the bigger I get, so trying to filter foods I intake. It's just that I eat a lot which adds up at the end. Should I lover my daily food/calorie intake (i don't mind, it doesn't make my day feel more bad, I eat huge on purpose) or get my self and mind together for more cardio? Is there anything else I could do?

I will add - I don't expect to see six pack while bulking! I just think that I could do better.., with your guidance and advice.

Your diet i think needs work. When you say clean more or less to me means its not strict.

PHURIOUS

I agree with Phurious. You should be getting your diet down and as clean as possible especially during your first cycle. Some of us on here can help you with a plan.

My daily diet is visible here:
https://www.isarms.com/forums/stero...ctres-5894.html?highlight=daily+food+pictures
Apart from chicken exchanging to beef, thats what I eat through the week.
With "more or less" I'm saying I know it's not set perfect yet for me, my body is not happy with my set. So I'm guesing wrongs and seeking advice. I laid down the list. What I do feel having my "more or less" issue, is having foods high in starches like white rice, potato, too much. Dairy foods. even cottage cheese and greek yogurts are still dairy. I cut down heavy on milk, going into foods only as little as scrambled eggs.. I'm cutting down on sweetest fruits right now, like grocery apples and others. Unlike wild apples, now a days grocery apples seems to be overloaded with sugars etc.

First your diet is not so good, and neither is your cardio. If you eat too many calories of anything you will get fat. At some point in time you will be having to diet to loose the fat..SO why are you ok with putting any fat on your body? If you want to be champ then get your diet tuned in and also your cardio. Taking gear is not a free pass to pig.

I will tell you my present cardio and I am a good bit over 65. Everyday I do treadmill at a speed of 6 and inclined all the way to 15 for 45 mins. EOD I run 100 yards and walk 100 yards 5 times. Then run 220 and walk 220 5 times. Three times per week I bike 10 miles in 1/2 hour. And that is just the cardio

Wow!
I will take a note of that. I used to love running before bodybuilding and in-between when I wasn't able to live this wonderful lifestyle. Having second child, woking 12 hours 6 days a week and sundays including.. My joy at that time was running 60min x3 a week, cardiovascular endurance felt strong, I wasn't getting even tired after an hour of run, pure joy.
Well, my diet is there shown in the link. On weekends my meal count can rise to 7-8meals! I don't use table sugar to anything, I don't drink sodas, don't eat a single candy etc. My only suggars are coming from foods, fruit and berries. When I cook, I never add sugar to anything, even my oatmeal I've learned to enjoy sugar free. When I cook anything, I use olive oil only. I don't eat anything deepfried.
What else could I add, If there is anything I could add to describe my daily routine, pls mention it.
I clearly feel I'm missing out on cardio, I said it my self. I will set a goal to increase it from now on far more. I'll try to plan out my workout so I would be able to include it.
I do have my daily time limits due kids, family etc., so I need to plan effectively my free time, replan my workout rotine.
Tnx for your reply, your cardio routine is inspirational.

I hadn't srutinized your diet, but you may need to track your calories a little better. The fact that you are gaining weight tells me you could be eating more calories than you think.
I don't think I have ever done a cycle where I gained more than 7lbs. If you gain more than 7 then you have water and or fat issues. If you can come away from a cycle and gained 7-10 lbs of muscle then you are doing really good. It is very easy to do a cycle and gain weight, but that is not what you are looking for.

Just to mimic what others have said. I would put extra emphasis on the diet. Make sure you are not into too much of a surplus. With your current condition, I don't think you should be putting on any more fat at all. Keep it lean and clean, and make sure to get that cardio in. Do those things and it's entirely possible that you can even drop some bodyfat while gaining lean mass

Indeed.
I kept being afraid not having enough calories on my bulk, but now I feel I flipped over overdoing it.
In times like this when you feel it on your self, you realise the value of counting them. I hoped to manage to do it by feeling, but guess math there is for a reason.

Tnx Rick, I'll do my best, from the very next day and workout on.

this is quite common bro... your compensating one way to counter another but doing it at too high of a level... it happens... this is why its important to always write things down and track them... then when issues like this arise, you go back and review to find the culprit... in this case, its very apparent your just eating too much... there's a fine line for everyone where when they cross it, things become quite difficult... you just need to scale back, raise the cardio and get things more dialed in and precise... you can definitely do it but you have to take the time and effort to get it precise
