bossAUS,
Do you still hit Calesthenics? or do you just hit your major lifts in the 1-3RM range and then work technique, and other more sport specific work?
How often do you hit weights? how many sessions of weights per week?
At nearly 40 pro fights, you would know what you are talking about.[/Q
I hit the weights twice a week because anymore and it effects me in the ring fatigue wise. i weight train two sessions a week no more than one hour each. deadlift one day/squat bench the other day with accessory movements thrown in depending on the day. I also do calistenics after every boxing session, even after sparring. my pullup record is 39 full ROM and i think pullups, pushups and dips are fantastic for a fighter,if your gonna compete calistenics are great because you can recover faster than weights and there great for muscular endurance. There a must.
