So i gave blood to Red cross last night, my question is do they actually use the blood that donated. After lying about pinning myself and AAS use...lol. Will they put me on a banned list or refuse further draws? Or do they just toss it out.
I've given blood every 8 weeks for years, and my blood has always been used. They test for infectious diseases and that is it. They do not test for AAS, nor is there a reason to. They take one pint of blood and your body holds 10. There will be only a small amount of AAS in the blood taken and when given to a recipient it poses no danger whatsoever due to the concentration diluted down to less than 10% by the time it is used, and probably far less.
Think of the good you are doing for others as well as yourself. I've helped so many people over the years, and its a very rewarding experience and healthy for me at the same time. I get notifications of where my blood has went as far as what hospital, etc. No details about the recipient, but its still nice knowing my blood was used to save lives.
It's truly a win win for everyone
