Metformin

Years and almost every competetive bodybuilder I hang out with does also suprised its such taboo on here fogured more guys would know about it . and as far as safety there is no saftey risk this is not exogenous insulin there is no going hypo it just makes your insulin fuction the way its supost too if your carbs are super low and your insulin sensitivity is super hivh when you take it you could get sleepy but not die as you could injecting insulin

Also lactic acidosis is possible if abused. I usually dose it 500mg metformin after a carb meal of 100g carbs. So if I eat 200g carbs I will take two after that meal. Then I sit on the toilet lol

I have run it before for about a month at a time at about a gram a day. There is supposed to be a lesser risk of going hypo than when using insulin, but I always take it with carbs and with some fast acting sugars just in case. Like personally bro, if I were you, I wouldn't toy with insulin manipulation unless you are very experienced or unless you are prescribed this medication by a doctor. Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production, and it also increases insulin sensitivity. As far as fat loss goes, that's diet dependent. What are your stats bro? Oh, and this drug gives you like horrible shits lol

That is incorrect. Metformin keeps you from being desensitized to insulin. If anything, metformin can cause you to go hypo because it causes you to become sensitive to insulin. People that run insulin use it when they are off insulin so that the insulin receptors stay fresh. This helps keep them from upping th dosage of insulin to get the same effects

Metformin is for type2 diabetics not type 1 wich are insulin dependant because there pancreas doesnt produce insulin type2 diabetics actually curable with diet excersise and weight loss but most of them just take there metformin and continue too indulge in high glycemic carbs and sugar . ther almost too completey differant diseases altogether the increased insulin sensitivity can cause tiredness and lower blood sugar but sense your sensitivity is hightened too your own natural insulin being produced theres not a chance of it going low enough to hurt you with exogenous insulin you can definately overdue it and there ised entirely difflerant insulin in bodybuilding is used too bulk and increase anobolism and nutrient uptake metformin increases insulin sensitivity and decreases some of the excess carbs so whats used is shuttled too the cells and the rest is waisted blood sugar stays low fat is burned not stored while glycogen stays full and your not flat.

I meant "insulin manipulation" to mean that you are manipulating the way your body reacts to insulin. Yes people who use insulin sometimes use metformin to keep the receptors more responsive and to avoid insulin resistance.

I've started using it with any carb meals I may have and have seen results with better pumps and getting leaner. May be a coincidence but I'm leaner than I have been in 20 years and still maintaining my muscle and vascularity. My wife told me her hrt doc at the swanky anti aging clinic us prescribing metformin for fat loss to women.so far I believe it's safe if used properly.

Its very safe it is not insulin it increases insulin sensitivity but the insulin being used is still secreated naturally by your pancreas.

I've been using Metformin for about a year now. I'm up to 1500mg a day now. My blood sugar has crept up the last 4 years or so. Metformin is very very safe, it's been around forever. Tons of anti-aging properties and maybe even cancer preventive. If you Google the words the wonders of metformin tons of info out there. Very safe drug. Very cheap too!
