Do you fast before your blood test

Suppost too because you get a free metabolic panel with it and that makes your AIC fasted blood glucose levels accurate but if you only care about the hormone reading them doesn't matter

I always draw blood before 9am....I always fast...every time no matter what I'm testing
That way all my results are consistent and I never have to try and think back to if I was fasting for a particular test
It's a big pluse when you are old and senile like me

You should always fast before bloodwork in my opinion. That's why I schedule all of mine first thing in the morning

Yes, for accuracy on everything included, its best to fast.

Agreeing with the rest.I always get it done early & fast for at least ten to twelve hours.You mostly need to for accurate sugar levels.
