Hard matter in my glute after injection

This is the situation - I am on testosterone solo cycle right now, and I inject myself the enanthate twice a week (250 mgs each time). So far I am on week 5, and there were no problems, as I rotate the injection sites regularly. However, a couple of days ago I have made yet another injection in the glute, and right now in this precise spot I got some hard matter there, as if it were a lump. It hurts quite a bit, but there is no redness or warmth. Do you think it is an infection, or something else? Is it absolutely necessary to go to the doc? Thanks

Most probably you are just having some bad PIP. Put a heat patch on the injection site, and massage the injections sites after doing the injections. It will disappear soon. If it were red and quite painful, it would be a reason to be concerned, but from what has been described, just looks like a normal PIP.

Hey there again! Sorry, I could not answer before, and was all panicing! Yes, it seems like it was just a temporary thing, and now everything seems to be much better. However, I would appreciate any tips on the things I can do to prevent the PIP - I am sure there gotta be some tricks for that.

Use a smaller gauge needle like 25g, and inject very slow. Fast injections will almost always give some degree of PIP. Also make sure to get the oil in deep enough with the right length of needle

Pip can be due to a lot of things. The solvent used in the gear. Virgin muscle. Injecting to fast. Not giving enough time between shots. Maybe even scar tissue build up.

Yes, small gauge needle (25g) and slow injections are key. Warming the oil before injecting also helps.

I had the worst pip in my delts when I first did it. I injected super fast with a 23 gauge and pip was aching about a week. Was so scared lol

I learned that the problem was me injecting too fast and that it was most likely be virgin muscle

In addition to what others mentioned about slower injection techniques, leave the needle in after all oil is injected for 10-15 seconds per ml at least. After you remove needle massage the area for 30 seconds or so. This works for me and I get virtually no pip ever. Hope that helps a little

Good advice, I always leave the needle in a little bit and just let the oil deposit itself. Bro Science maybe but I don't get much pip if any doing it that way.

I never just jab it in either. I actually gently push and spin the needle back and forth with my index finger and thumb. Goes in painless.

thats how i do it as well... its far smoother this way and leaves you far more room for error... you can easily tell if your making a mistake this way by simply seeing a certain twitch that occurs and then you can get the needle out right away before you cause a big problem

When I started my cycle, I did it on the day I do my legs. I warm up my test in warm water a little bit, gently massage the area after the jab, and after glutes had some work to do with squats, following and next day felt like brand new. No bad PIP.

That's also what I do. I don't just stick it like a dart. I go in slow and controlled, and I believe that also helps with PIP

yes, you should not just jam it in there... there's so much more room for error doing that not to mention, it does not feel very good either...

i have noticed if i was not taking my time and the pin did not go in at a 90 degree angle and the pin went in on an angle across the muscle i had a lump. It was not hot or infected but irratated. go in straight inject slow and massaage always be clean

absolutely... thanks for sharing the experience... when you are more methodical and precise with what you are doing with injections, you are far more likely to have a smooth and clean experience as you indicated..
