Give blood !!!!

Just want to reenforce the concept of giving blood not only does it help other people in need, but in my case Im towards the end of a TEST DECA EQ cycle and my RBC was at 19.3 Not good.... 21 and you are to high for the red cross to take your blood plus it NOT HEALTHY... even if you are not on a cycle but are working out regularly it help clean your blood out and make new stuff... Plus I sleep like a baby after giving!!!

SO DAMMIT GO GIVE BLOOD BITCHES!!!

I have a couple questions, because I'm interested in giving blood:

1. Is there a best time to donate blood? Should this be done in the first thing in the morning when you are in a fasted state?
2. Will giving blood affect you later on in the day? For example, will it make you dizzy or out of it? Do you have any problems working out after giving blood?
3. How often should you donate blood?

should donate every two month that is the soonest you can donate again every 60 days.
you should eat a BIG breakfast before donating and some good carbs... that will help your body make new blood.
I have never gotten tired or dizzy after and still work out the days I donate unless it happen to be an off day.

I donate every 8 weeks. It’s a great feeling and I recently received my 4 gallon donor pin in the mail! 28 years old and started in college.

go to ER or Doc office and they take a pint of blood n it gets disposed of.

The only things they check when you donate blood in Canada is your blood pressure, hemoglobin levels and your arms to see whether you have recent tattoos or if there is a sign of heroine use, or any other shit you can inject intravenously

You can donate blood every 56 days in Canada. If you are on gear such as EQ, you could probably donate every 31 days...but nobody would let you do that unless you have a letter from your Doc

I just donated blood last week. The lady went to make an incision into my vein and as soon as she made contact, blood squirted ALL over my shirt. I was so annoyed!

She even complemented my veins and how healthy they were. (My arms are very vascular) But thankful she was able to only poke me once and only took about 15 minutes. This was right at the end of my cycle too.

Lol, it takes me 6 minutes too. I max out the flow rate, and that's without the squeezes. As a,matter of fact they won't let me squeeze because of the size of my veins lol

Lol, thats a funny coincidence. It takes me about an hour, hour and a half to do the whole thing: registering (even though I have a donor card), answering a bunch of questions like have you been to "Botswana" in the past 60 days, or have you had unprotected sex with a Sumatran orangutan recently?. After completing the questionnaire you get to pick a number and go seat with all the dudes and dudettes donating blood in that particular day. Then a lovely looking senior citizen lady, doing volunteer work would hand you some brochures for you to read, while you wait for your number to be called.
When you number is up, a nurse will take your blood pressure, poke your finger to test your hemoglobin levels and ask you to show her your arms. Then you get, yet another number, and go sit somewhere else.

And when the time comes, they call you and your are done in 6 minutes. After that they will ask you about a dozen times if you are ok or feeling dizzy.. Then you will be escorted to the refreshments/snack area where the same lovely senior citizen lady, and her pals, would offer you water, milk, cookies or snacks. And then they would put a sticker on your chest that reads "be nice to me today, I just donated blood".

6 minuet club right here. I think the fastest I’ve done was 5:15. Just makes me wonder if I ever had a serious cut or anything like that would I be prone to losing a lot of blood fast. I generally do bleed a lot on tiny cuts and random bloody noses. [emoji848]

No lie dude lol!! All of that is true. I've waited as long as 90 minutes before giving before after all the B.S., but I still always wait it out.

The questions on the questionairre are certainly very specific and honestly quite hilarious. Like asking if I had homosexual sex with a male prostitute in Bolivia between 1988-1992. Lol. I'd hate to be the one that answers yes to any of these off the wall questions. Lol
