I want to know what you guys think lf in home scales measuring BF% and how accurate you think they are.
My wife has a fitbit scale just to keep track of her progress. I use it every now and then just to check my BF% as i belived it was roughly acurate not spot on but maybe 1% leeway bothways.
I started a recomp stack 2 weeks ago hoping to gain a little and lose a little. Not a lot mostly stay the same and harden up. Before the cycle scales said I was 12.6-13.4. After I started it slowly went down by about 0.1% per day for a week and i finally hit the 11.9% mark. Then all of a sudden everyday it went up by .5%. Today it said I was 16.4 yesterday was 15.9.
This concerned me as I feel as if my progress has been clean, good diet no bad days yet its making me feel like I fucked up.
Can anyone give me some insight as to what they think about these scales? Im starting to believe they are just guessing. I also find it hard to believe I could gain that much BF in a week as i usually struggle to gain any weight at all. I have gained maybe 2lbs since starting the cycle
