So two days and two incidents, minor infractions of personal "let's not go there" standards IMO...
Incident One: Older guy I frequently acknowledge in the gym, whom I often spot on his lifts when he asks walks up while another guy we speak to is next to me doing another exercise and says while walking up 'You need to hook him up with that good stuff' while making hand gestures signifying pinning gear.
Incident Two: There was a power lifter in my gym with a Slingshot. He loaded up 405 and I watched him to see how many reps he was gonna knock out. The 400 plus club is far and few in my gym, so far it's me and two others however I'm the only no lift off, no spotter, multiple rep/set member. He gets a lift off and does one rep barely and the dude is pretty big too so I was like "meh". So I'm doing light tricep pushdowns just to get a finishing pump and he asks to jump in. I ask if the Slingshot helps any significant amount and he says yes and then says 'but I'm natural' and gives me a look of 'am I right assuming you aren't'.
Incident one is worthy of if I didn't know this dude I'd have beat his ass in the gym for being a dumb ass. Incident two was a 'compliment/almost too much, too soon faux pas'.
Look, it's obvious IMO that the way I look I am not natural and if you've paid attention to me over the past few years in the gym, I've bulked, leaned up, bulked more, leaned up and am now clearly one of only 3 guys in there you see at different hours that make you say 'Gear'. Just don't fucking let it come outta your mouth if you don't know me at a personal level like that. I don't talk about it because to me it's a natural progression of weight training that you will eventually use some type of PEDs. Don't be pissy with me that you are in limbo with your acquisition of something other than "Erase Pro" and test boosters. No I'm not gonna hook you up if you ask me, if we're cool and you ask I will point you in a direction to do such things on your own, but don't come at me like you know something about The 44.
Shit just pisses me off somewhat. People have this stigma about gear and it's based on assumptions and uneducated heresy. If you know nothing, say nothing. If you know something still say nothing, it'd be a bad day in the gym if someone were to ask me to hook them up because so and so said... fucking people bro, where the fuck do they get these balls the size of off road tires??? There are 4 people that can honestly say 'he's on gear confirmed'... my wife, my son, my sometime training partner and my bro who runs a supp shop that competes in elite levels of power lifting here in Texas. Other than that you're subject to getting embarrassed.
