you dont count your calories? bro, you cant give out diet advice without knowing the macros... thats extremely important... it needs precision... you need to know how high or low you are in comparison to maintenance... you need to know your macros before you write things up or even do them yourself... there's way too much room for error otherwise... your telling him to eat nearly 2 lbs. of meat per day... thats a shitload man... thats too much... thats NOT good for you... i understand trying to bulk but it needs to be done in a much safer way...
of course he doesn't know the totals. He's leaving the lean meat protein source open for interpretation. Beef =/= chicken, just like healthy fats from almond butter =/= the exact same macro breakdown as coconut oil

Exactly, it was just a reference for some ideas it wasn't a calculated meal plan. Those macros were just an estimate that's why there were most likely off. I'm obviously not gonna be taking in 400g of protein in a day...
Thats fine and well but he asked for the macros and you gave him numbers, as opposed to letting him know it was just a reference and he even said he felt like it was too much protein and he still was not corrected so thats why i said that
Well I did say in the first post to use it as a reference , and I said the macros were estimated. But yeah it was a little confusing, I thought he understood it was more of a reference, I should have repeated that. Thanks for clearing it up, I'll try and be more specific next time!
OP, I would strongly suggest you go to the stickies and read RickRock's diet and nutrition 101 sticky there. It will give you some great info there you can use to utilize the proper tools to develop the diet that is right for you. Once you have that knowledge base it becomes much easier for others to help you tweek it to perfection.

Biggest thing too remember is bulking is more important too avoid cheat meals and keep it clean . when your in your maintance phase is your oportunity too have cheat meals once in a while or when long cutting periods when you need too jumpstart your metabolism but when your eating in a surplus any excess simple sugars and high glycemic carbs at the wrong times is going too cause fat storage .avoid sugar completly have simples like white rice and poatoes post workout and some fruit at breakfast those are the only times you want too spike insulin the rest of the day you want too keep blood sugar levels staedy not low stay in that anabolic window just avoid keeping those insulin receptors on your fat cells from staying ocupied
Also people metabolisms change and react too the way they eat when I do a diet for someone I have them track there food for two weeks with no chages so I can see how they are currently adapted so I can make subtle changes for lo ng term progress also when I first clean it it up and change things I give them a glucometer and have them use it before and after each carb meal so I can asses there insulin sensitivity and reaction too certain foods.
