Spironolactone and RU58841 for Hair loss

Hey guys,

So often the conventional Finasteride/Dutasteride and Minoxidil is not enough for some people, even when not using AAS. I have been reading up on alternative or combination treatments for hair loss, and have stumbled across topical Anti-Androgens. Although little research has been done on them, they are said to be quite effective in moderating hair loss. I have some questions for those of you who have tried Topical Spironolactone or Ru58841 for hair loss:

Questions:

1. What is your experience with them? How effective are they for you?
2. What sort of side effects did you experience?
3. Did they help in combatting androgen up-regulation from Finasteride/Dutasteride?
4. What is the best topical anti-androgen?

Topical spiro smells terrible. I've read that there's no systemic effects from topical use of Spiro but I'm not sure I believe that. Personally I wouldn't use a topical Anti Androgen. I use a combo of Azaelic acid cream, Lipogaine(minor/azaelic acid cream) and nizoral when I'm on heavy DHT compounds and it works fine with no sides.
