Motivation

I've apparently burned myself out from working out. At least that's my guess. Motivation is at nearly 0%. I still go a few times a week out of ritual but it's just not there... My mojo I mean. Libido still a bit fucked up. Not sure if this is all in my head or a hormone issue. I know bloods need to be checked but have been procrastinating. My workouts all suck ass. It could be boredom from lack of regimen change or it could be something else.

Question is what do you guys do when you get burned out? Also I'm open to ideas on what it could be. Again I know blood testing is the only way to rule that cause out but if it's not hormones what ideas do yall have to wake up my passion again? Depression could also be part of it from family life in general. Thoughts?

A series of massages couldn't hurt either cause my body is just tight all the time despite stretching. Even preacher curls make my back and traps knot up. FML it's getting shitty on all fronts for me at the moment and the gym is my therapy so I need to figure this out.

Are you on anything at all right now Jack? I would most definitely get your levels checked if you aren't on any gear right now. You are describing exactly how I felt when my levels were extremely low at less than 200. Libido was down, and I had almost zero motivation for the gym, I was depressed, and I was just going through the motions.

If somehow by chance it is not hormone related, I would suggest taking a week or two off from the gym. Just give some time to yourself and I do that from time to time. I listen to my body and when I know it's time to take some time off, I do. I usually end up going back to the gym ready to kill some shit after a week or two layoff.

First of all, you look awesome in your avatar. So I wouldn't worry to much about loosing or getting more gains. When is the last time you took a couple of weeks off from the gym? I know it may sound crazy, but it does wonders.
I work out at home, and it has been a bit hot and muggy lately, so my motivation has not been 100% either. I just need to get off my ass and throw the ac in the window.

It could be because of the way you been feeling lately with life. Also, def blood work will tell all. Have you been using an AI? You know this already, but if estro is high, your mojo will be in the dumps. Also, adding some proviron to your cycle can really help.

Jack, sometimes you just need to step away for a week and go do enjoyable things and enjoy what u have built. Sometimes us dedicated become so dedicated we lose sight of whats important. I think you just need a break and let that urge to lift build. Plus when i get burnt doing the same shit eating the same shit i just take a step back get a burger some fries and some beer and just step away. I take a week off and u know i actually grow and see some gains because we dont always know how fatigued we actually are. And the week after taking the break i go to the gym and kill it all week

I'm on trt about 100-125mg of E a week. Threw in 100mg masteron this week but only made me a bit more irritable lol. Maybe I should up my dose? I'll try it. I've never had issues with 125mg of test before but maybe 100 isn't enough. With mast you'd think I'd have enough freed up though. I have q feeling this is just everyday life getting me down but even on good days libido and workouts suck. I'll try to get q blood test in the next week or so. So that MD private labs still a good place to go?

Thanks for the compliment sir. It's an older photo. Probably a tad softer at the moment but not much.

You're totally right. Although it's been about 3 weeks now that I've regressed from 5-7 workouts a week down to about 2-3 and still not regaining the desire. Maybe I need to take two full weeks off or something? I've leaned out some due to diet and daily activity lol so that's good I guess. I'm going to bump my test up a bit and see what happens as well as test my blood and then go from there. Mental and physical fatigue can have a huge effect though I know. I've even cut down on caffeine for a few weeks and preworkouts still aren't helping much. :/ anyway I'm just trouble shooting because there are so many variables. Thanks bro

Also libido improves 100% with HCG AND PROVIRON combo. So I know that. Not sure what to make of it.

For sure. I think you should test your blood before bumping and literally gake a week off from lifting or any workouts and not think about the food u r eating and just relax and have some fun. And you will see the renewed vigor for what u do.

Are you getting enough sleep?

Our bodies process stress in horrible ways, wether it's lack of sleep, overtraining, lack of proper nutrition, mental stress... Cortisol levels rise, brain chemistry flip-flops...

I'd try some active recovery, taking s break and doing things out of your norm. Mix it up try cycling, swimming, hiking, etc...

7 days a week is pretty hardcore and you may just need more recovery time.
I do 5 days (3 on, 1 off, 2 on, 1 off).

Nootropics are another great way to clear the brain fog.

Just some ideas.

I eat what I want normally but I am def about to order a test. Anyone know a discount code for MD private labs? I only knew Stevesmi had one before. I can't afford any other price I've seen.

Probably not. I tend to stay up later than I need watching documentaries. I need to just give in and crash when my girl does.

And you're right I've been thinking about starting to hike since I live in the perfect place now

sometimes its just good to take a step back and take a break and not just physically but mentally as well.. you need to step away from things... im the king of overdoing it and it does catch up to you, even the most mentally tough... for some it takes quite longer than others but every aspect of who you are just needs a break... that's just the way it is... you will find that its not only refreshing but its actually motivating because although it feels good, you realize what your missing.. we are not machines... i have learned this fact the hard way but even a machine rests or it will not last... anything and everything needs rest... even God rested on the 7th day and made it a commandment to do so... in all honesty, we should all rest 2 times per week... i have a hard enough time resting one but two is what it should be... you need two days off to grow properly, to stay mentally in the game and to ensure your health and longevity.. get the bloodwork done and see where you are at as well...

I agree that you just need to let yourself enjoy some time off Jack. Give yourself a break both mentally and physically. Take a couple weeks and recollect yourself, and I have a feeling that will do wonders for you
