Low Testosterone Levels at only 21 years old?! (according to blood work)

Hello All,

First of all I will give some background,

Stats:

Age: just turned 21

Height: 5'8

Weight: fluctuating between 165-170 lb

Body fat %: between 15-20% (not 100% sure, visually guesstimating based on pictures online)

Years of training:3

Complete cycle history (compounds, doses, lengths of time, when they were run): None, I am a first timer.

PCT for each cycle: N/A^

Goals: To recomp

Supplements (if any): Creatine monohydrate/HCl, caffeine, whey/casein protein powders, citrulline malate, beta alanine, betaine, BCAA's

General idea of nutrition: Run maintenance calories or slight deficit.

Any other relevant info (injuries, surgeries you've had, etc.): No injury history. I get some tennis elbow in my left elbow every now and then but it is circumvented/goes away if i stay away from skull crushers.

Now onto the reason of this post, I got blood work done this week and the results I received are very disheartening. I just turned 21 years old at the end of January. My blood work shows a testosterone level of 355 ng/dL (range: 348-1197 ng/dL), which is within range but towards the low side, essentially the levels of an 85-100 year old man according to this website: http://tctmed.com/normal-testosterone-levels-age-matter/. I was doing some research online and it's proven that testosterone is supposed to be around it's peak at my age right now and the average for guys in my age range is close to 700 ng/dL. What shocks me most is that I don't have any of the symptoms typically associated with low T. I have no problem in getting erections and keeping them. I also do not have problems ejaculating (I can ejaculate within 5-10 mins, easily, and more than once if need be, after a short refractory period). I do get depressed every now and then and sometimes I do get brain fog and lack motivation/drive. I am including the results from my blood work in this post. All other female hormonal values (LH, FSH, E2) seem to be in range however, though my LH and FSH are on the higher side of the reference range.

Another concern of my blood work is my high BUN values and high BUN/creatinine ratio. I did some research, and found out this could mean I could have kidney problems that need to be addressed. Though I also found that high BUN values could be a result of a high protein diet. I don't know what to make of these high BUN and BUN/creatinine ratio values and would appreciate any insight as to what I should do to get these values in range?

Now onto the main reason of this post. I wanted to run a 12 week cycle of mk-2866 and gw-501516 from sarmsx. I already have the SARMs and mini pct in my possession. Taking all of my blood work into consideration, what would you all recommend I do? Should I first consult with my primary care physician about my low testosterone levels and try to bring my T level up naturally, holding off on the cycle until I am healthy (so I don't experience suppression and have even lower T levels than I do now)? Would it even be a good idea for me to run a SARMs cycle in the first place considering my low T levels and other blood work? Any input would be appreciated as I have no one to talk to about this and everyone here is so positive and helpful, which is something I am extremely thankful for. pre cycle blood work.jpg

I would exhaust the medical options first. At your age, something is going on. I'd want to address that before anything else.

I would be curious to see what your free testosterone level is. You can have low testosterone levels while having high free testosterone which would explain the lack of low t symptoms.

where did you get your sarms, since you already have them. lay off the creatine and you have never taken anything over the counter supplement products like halo or any other trash they push at these fucking shops that could have possibly been prohormones? and post a typical days diet if you don't mind. I would not skin the cat just yet and say you have low T like bodean said I would def get more bloods done, talk to a doc or an endo specialist

thanks for the responses so far, everyone. I will get my free T checked as well. is there any other blood work aside from the free T that I should get? I got my sarms from sarmsx, as i mentioned in my original post. I have never taken any OTC supplements that could affect my hormonal balance in any way, aside from the ones i've mentioned in my original post. I follow IIFYM/flexible dieting and Intermittent Fasting (IF) currently, as I am currently a college student and I don't really have an appetite upon waking. A typical day's diet is as follows:

9am - some days I'll have greek yogurt and a banana or an apple if I am not IF for breakfast

12-2pm - Usually a Chipotle burrito bowl, sometimes Chinese food or burger and fries etc. (this is the most flexible meal)

4-6pm - 6-8 oz grilled chicken breast and one serving whole wheat pasta or brown rice with spinach or broccoli

8-11 pm - 6-8 oz of protein (lean beef, chicken breast, tilapia, salmon, shrimp etc) with one serving brown rice with either kidney beans or avocado depending on carb/fat/fiber macros left for the day

Same for workout days, except there is post workout shake with whey protein and 2% milk and one post workout meal of lean protein and carbs

No...don't consult with your GP...you need to consult with an ENDOCRINOLOGIST...one the specializes in male hormones...not one who's practice revolves around diabetes

low testosterone without symptoms is problematic and needs to be evaluated thoroughly by a highly qualified specialist

low testosterone with normal to high LH and FSH MAY indicate a problem with one of your testicle..this is no joke and needs to be treated seriously

you need a comprehensive diagonosis before starting any treatment

until you have determined what is going on...DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING including SARMS

Thanks buen for the suggestion. This is very worrisome for me as I have no idea why it's like this. I did some more research online and I think it may be primary hypogonadism. And now that you mention a problem with one testicle, just by feel it seems like my left testicle is significantly smaller than my right testicle. The problem is I have HMO insurance so I have to go through my GP and get a recommendation for an endo.

I definitely would recommend getting in to see an endo. General practitioners just have basic understand whereas the endocrinologist will have extensive knowledge on your hormones and how to fix it. My general doctor knows barely anything about steroids, hormones or any of that, whenever I wanted bloodwork he wojld just go "do you feel fine?" And I'd say well ya I guess so and he wouldn't send me in for bloodwork. That being said since you have lower T just stress your desire for wanting to see an endo to your GP and he will most likely send you there

I feel for you little brother..be sure you tell you GP about your testicle..be really adamant about getting a referral to an endrocrinologist that deals routinely with hypogonadism
Please keep us posted on how you make out

good luck

Ok. I will be sure to do that. Most likely I won't be able to see my GP until March, which is when I will have to bring up these concerns. In the mean time is there anything I can do to bring my natural test up in any way? My motivation/ambition/focus has been really taking a toll this semester. Unless I use amphetamines/modafinil, I just can't seem to get motivated or remain focused anymore. I've lost pretty my ability to socialize effectively - I've been experiencing extreme social anxiety and over the years I've noticed its been getting increasingly harder for me to approach/talk to women, professors, any new people essentially. The only thing keeping me sane right now is my passion for training, which is the only thing that hasn't suffered over the years.
