Insulin - Does it increase or decrease edema?

I know the dangers of insulin, no lecture needed.

Just a simple question, for those who have tried insulin: Does it increase or decrease edema (gyno, puffy face, water retention, etc), or doesn't it affect it at all?

Yes in excess it can cause your kidneys to retain sodium, indirectly causing water retention.

I've heard a lot of people complain about water retention with insulin use. Yes it will cause some. There's a reason pros cut it out in prep the final weeks and it's not just because of reduced carbs
