Fasting before bloodwork

I am scheduled To have my bloodwork done this morning and I just read that I am suppose to fast for 12 hours I just drank my morning protein shake though. Is this gonna be detrimental to my results

Its not ideal and could throw some values off. If you can reschedule it tomorrow or whatever, it will be better for more accuracy

damn, I just did the same thing figuring 1 swig of twinlab protein would be no big deal. fuckballs.

If it is for a doctor, tell them what you had. They can get an idea on how much it changes your lab work. It's not a big deal as long as you tell them.

they always told me to fast before bloods, but i always ate before and never had a problem with my blood tests. but thats just me lol, cant speak for anyone else

I fast just to make sure nothing has a chance to be skewed. 12 hours isnt too bad anyhow. Just reschedule it.
