My source says he uses carbon paper to fool the x-ray maxchines when the products are going through customs, does this really work to help mask steroid vials?

This is just a marketing hipe - carbon paper won't do a thing, and if your package will get checked, they will see what is inside. Besides, it may even cause more suspicion, when the authorities will just see a black spot in the box. In any case - carbon paper will do not good for your delivery.
