Carb Cycling

I did a search and found that a few people here do some sort of carb cycling diet. I've done low carb in the past but never an actual cycling. Having said that, this is a two part question. Do people that carb cycle do a refeed every 3-4 days or less frequent. Also, do people have any tips on how to make you food choices more unique.

It depends on your current condition and metabolism level. Those that are super ripped and lean will need to refeed more than those that carry more body fat. For those with average bodyfat of say 12-15% I would recommend a refeed every 7-10 days and no more frequent than that. Refeeding too often will obviously hurt progress

As for food choices, it's really unlimited as long as you are fitting your macros and your choices depend on the diet you re following. Will you be doing zero carb like Keto or just low carb? For no carb diets fats and protein are only consumed with keeping both relatively high. The carbs are only consult during the refeed process

I was going to try to keep carbs at 30G per day...so not quite keto but pretty close. The individual who I was talking to about this does a 5-2. He says he feels depleted by day 5 so he replenishes for his two days off. I was thinking of only doing a one day refeed.

The reason for the food question is because outside of eggs, cheese, red meat, etc....it can get a bit redundant after awhile. I feel like when I do a higher carb diet I have more food choices...but my wife wants to do low carb starting for the New Year so I'm going to give it a shot...makes food shopping and prep easier.

Isn't anything under 50g a day ketogenic?
