Fit Bit?

I've seen them round but never used one. I lived for many years without it so I think I'm fine lol. You should keep us posted bro. It would be cool to know if they are accurate or at least close.

Tried it for a sec and found it to be just as useful as a computer on my road bike. I'm old school so to me it's just another gadget I don't need. But, for the person that needs something like this I say go for it. Anything to help a person get motivated to get fit is a good thing in my book.

There are like 4 or 5 people I know who have rave about it and wear it all the time. All overweight drinkers that don't exercise regularly I almost bought one until I asked them about it. I hear it's best feature is the sleep tracker. Or whatever it's called. It's definitely overpriced for what it is.

I have an LG Droid watch and it tracks my steps. It says I take around 3000 a say whixh, according to it is 500 calories. Not sure how accurate that is.

Thanks for the replies guys. She's a chef and did 30,000+ steps today and 6 flights of stairs plus 2.5 miles of running and then some and it says she's burned a bit over 3,000 cals. She ate 4 boiled eggs, a rice cake, a chobani yogurt, a banana and lasagna (probably a hefty serving if I know her well) and it says she had 750cals. I told her to order a pizza lol. Something just seems off. I dunno

I know a lot of people that have had them and comlaind about accuracy for quite a few things. I never got one and never will. It's not something I can find a use for honestly even if it did work accurately

Yeah I don't need one either. She refuses to track things herself so she naturally wanted one. I'm just concerned about her getting accurate info. Oh well she loves it lol nothing I can do about it now. I can see now why she's having a hard time losing though with some many calories burned and so few calories eaten. Makes perfect sense. Maybe she'll eat more clean cals now that she knows that.

Your girl is a animal bro if that thing is accurate.

Yeah well she spends all day on her feet cooking and chopping etc and having to go between two floors on stairs. That with running 2-3 miles before work and then cooking at night and running her mom around town and has a 12 year old daughter to add to it. Seems to make sense MAYBE but it goes off of heart rate. I'm not sure monitoring heart rate alone would give an accurate calorie estimate. Who knows?

I have a fitbit HR, its a nice watch, the HR blows, when I go riding my dirt bike for day, I come back with 31,000 steps.

I have a Mio Alpha 2 with realtime HR and love it.

Downside, unless you are pipsqueak like me, the band wont be big enough(I'm on last notch). It would probably work as a ring for 44 :)

I have a fit bit and i always use it when i run. also its very accurate when you want to track your calories
i have the fit bit charger. the app also helps me easily on tracking my steps and heart rate so i think its a really good way
to track your calories. i know some people wont like it but hey i would give it a try.
