Hello all, this is my first post on a forum such as this (or any forum for that matter). I'm hoping you'll take it easy on me as I have read the rules and will do my best to abide by them.
I'm a 41 year old recently born again gym addict; I've enjoyed some awesome newbie gains during a natural re-composition over the past year and six months. I decided after so many years away from the gym I needed some help and bought into a program called "Bigger Leaner Stronger". The program was exactly what I needed as it taught me how to make the most of my time in the gym and the kitchen. Understand that while i spent lot of time in the gym as a younger man, it was for the purposes of being in shape for Ice Hockey, not aesthetics. So I was never a big guy nor did I want to be; the goal back then was to be strong and fast. Never did any steroids or compounds outside of the normal whey and creatine supplements. This time around it is for the aesthetics, but also the over all feeling of general well being. Hell, maybe it was the beginning of a midlife crisis that got my ass back in the gym; all I know is I didn't like what I saw in the mirror 18 months ago and now I do (mostly). So before I get into why I'm coming to you guys, let me give you my stats. and goals...
18 months ago, it went like this
Age 40
Height 5' 9"
Weight 212
BF% 28.5 Using hand held impedance device
Carried most of my weight in my gut and had almost no muscle definition to speak of.
The following was my one rep max at the time...
Bench press 145
Dead-Lift 155
Squat 105
After 18 months of 5 days/week in the gym lifting in the 4-6 rep range @ 75-80% of my on rep max + 3 days 25 min HIIT cardio; here's is where I am today
Age 41
Weight 158
BF% 9.1 ( been as low as 8.7 and could see upper and mid abs )
Bench press 185
Dead-Lift 200
Squat 155
I'm happy with what I have done, but I knew I exhausted the Newbie gains some time ago. I attempted a lean bulk about 5 months ago cause my weight had dropped down to 150 and BF was below 10%. Figured it was time to go the other direction and so I ate roughly 500 (90% clean) over my TDE for 4 months . It went well although I seemed to put some weight back on around my waist; which of-course is the hardest place to lose it. A friend at work turned me on to peptides which after some trial and error, I found a fantastic source that has been on point. It really helped to melt the belly fat away while cutting back down and I'm really happy with the results; but I want to bulk again and here is where I need help.
Since my experience with the peptides went well, i started looking into alternatives to steroids that could give me an extra boost during the next bulk. As you can guess, I found SARMS and became excited about their potential. However, the amount of what seems like BS between suppliers calling each other brands crap and bunk left me scratching my head on who to ask for advice and possibly give my money to. So my dumbass decided to stay away from those sources and go to someone I currently trust, my peptide source. Only problem is, they don't carry SARMS...so i found a a peptide company who did. And as luck would have it, they had a sale on peptides too....this is GREAT!! Ill get my SARMS (LGD-4033) and my peptides (CJC-1295 / IPAM blend) What could go wrong right?? Well let me tell ya; the peptides were grossly underdosed at best. Highly suspect that they may be very old or very FAKE. So no way in hell was I even gonna try the LGD.....who knows WTF is in that thing. Contacted the company a week ago and have not heard back, don't expect I will either. So lesson learned is stay with my old peptide source and find someone who is reputable with SARMS. I settled on SARMSX because I figured anyone who is willing to use you tube to put themselves and there product out there like Dylan has got to believe in what they're selling.
Ok so now that I've posted a damn novel on your board.....could you help me??? Here is where I would like to be by 4/2018 which will put me at 43yo.
Weight- 175-180
Lean muscular build
I would also like to start by trying one SARM at a time, that way if something goes wrong, I know what SARM caused the problem. Was I on the right track with the LGD-4033 or would you guys recommend something different. Are my goals unrealistic using just SARMS and peptides?
Any and all feed back is greatly appreciated...
