Needle Choice

Hey guys, I'm 5'7" and 190. Stay around 12% bf and always pin my glutes and quads. I've been using a 5/8" 25gauge needle on my quads because it's easy and I barely feel anything. My quads are the leanest part of my body so I felt like I was always hitting muscle shooting there.

Recently a buddy suggested it wasn't deep enough but he's 300lbs ans carries a lot more fat than me and uses a 1".... so I think there is no difference.

Thoughts?
 
5/8" is pushing it for quads but if you are truly lean I think it's fine. I prefer a 1.5" myself but I like to get the oil deep into the muscle. Works better for me

i really dont like the 1.5 if you can avoid it.. thats my personal preference but to me it looks like a fucking harpoon

Glutes: 1-1.5 inch.
Delts: 1 inch.
Quads: 1 inch (some individuals can use as small as a ½ inch needle when injecting into the quads, depending on how lean they are).
Biceps: ½-1 inch.
Triceps: ½-1 inch.
Calves: ½ inch.
Traps: ½- 1 inch
Lats: 1 inch
 
I like 1". The one time I used 5/8 is the only I saw oil leak back out. I'm still upset about it
