do a google search with "top northern california bodybuilding competitions 2017" should give you events and dates to choose from. NPC and Norcal fitness classic but im not sure the dates

You should be able to search for shows in your area. It also depends on what organization you are going with. Are you going into the NPC? What division? Bodybuilding, physique, or classic physique?
In northern CA there are shows put on by muscle sports productions and spectrum fitness productions. Just google them to see show dates. I'm personally shooting for August 12 in Sacramento the Golden State championship. They do have one June 3rd also. Theses are all NPC.
