Stick to 5g pre or post workout. I was doing awesome at that dose and then bumped it to 5g in the morning and 5g after lifting. However, there was a point that I wasn't getting the water I needed and it hurt my kidneys. I got off and increased my water and thankfully they recovered. And honestly, taking 5g 2x a day did nothing, even when my water intake was good.
 
5g is all you need. Anything more than that is just waste. Creatine works by saturating the muscle cell at 100%. Once that level is reached, no more benefit from additional creatine can be obtained since there is nowhere to put it. 5g is actually more than you need to be honest, but enough to make sure you get full saturation at the cellular level
 
Listen to Rick on this one bro... I see the more is better concept going on and that is a terrible approach... you can overdo anything and that is overdoing it...

what type of creatine are you using? what are your goals?

for that particular version, 5 - 10 grams is plenty a day... personally, i have always felt 5 is enough but i would not exceed 10... it will end up adding more water than you probably like... i have always used creatine nitrate because it does not hold water but still gets size and strength... stacking with betaine is a very strong stack for clean size
