I will do some interval training in the morning. Eat a quick snack and then head to the gym. Personally i like cardio post lifting, feel like i get more out of my lifts when i do that. Probably just a pyscological thing though.
I eat roughly .8 to 1 gram of protein per a lb of body weight. I have been at 2 grams per lb, and have not noticed a difference in gains made or not made. I have found as long as i eat well balanced meals and whole foods. My body composition will respond favorably.
I do the same thing. Will hit it hard for about 8 weeks. 5-6 days a week of lifting. 4-5 days a week cardio. After the 8 weeks i take a full week off from the gym. Will still be active. Golfing, and softball. I feel like when i come back i am even stronger. So i know my body appreciates the break.
