You can have grip strentgh and use straps if you want huge lats you need straps .just doo your fisrt sets of pull ups and rows without them when you increase yhe weight till there needed then use them your forearms will fail before your back gets enough stimulation too grow
 
Look up iron claw training -- captains of crush -- pinch holds etc -- forearms can be trained daily -- oh yeah eat ye spinach and less hamburgers lol
