Basically, I'm agreeing that insulting someone directly isn't needed. But using a word loosely without directing at someone and then another person gets offended by that word is just downright ignorant. Honestly good luck in the real world if you hate hearing certain words...

I agree with cmb on that one. The term "hate speech" is a liberal term like it or not. Man up.. if 44 called me a honky for instance I'd say, You're fucking right I am lol. If we're getting to where we need "safe spaces" on this forum then this wouldn't be the forum for me.
