You could just pin extra amount just before you leave, still be plenty in your system when you get back.

My advice would be to treat it as your first ever cycle, which most would tell you should be just test by itself. This way any problems you know exactly what's causing it. Also, personally I wouldn't start at 500, 350-500 would be fine.
