How To Fix iPhone Hotspot Not Working on Windows

Is your computer having trouble connecting to your iPhone's personal hotspot? No internet connection even after connecting? Do you need create pdf from scanner but no Internet? Or does it accidentally disconnect from the iPhone? Compared to Mac, using iPhone Personal Hotspot in Windows can often cause errors.

However, there are many troubleshooting methods that you can go through when your iPhone hotspot is not working. Please skip any fixes below that do not apply to your situation.

Enabling Personal Hotspot on iPhone
Personal Hotspot on iPhone is not always enabled by default on non-Apple devices. If your computer can't detect your iPhone's Wi-Fi range, you'll need to turn it on manually.

The fastest way is to open the control center by swiping down from the top right corner of the screen. if you're using an iPhone with Touch ID, swipe up from the bottom instead. Then long press the Cell icon and press the Personal Hotspot icon to enable it.

Your iPhone should appear in the list of available Wi-Fi hotspots on your computer. Don't exit Control Center on your iPhone until you connect to it.
Alternatively, you can go to Settings > Personal Hotspot on your iPhone. This should make the personal hotspot automatically discoverable on your computer.

Enable/Disable Airplane Mode on iPhone and PC
If your computer does not recognize your iPhone's coverage area, try enabling and then disabling Airplane Mode on your iPhone and PC. Overall, this should help you eliminate minor connectivity issues that prevent your iPhone from transmitting or being detected by your computer.

Restarting iPhone and PC
Besides airplane mode, restarting iPhones and PC is another way to fix weird WiFi and hotspot issues. If you haven't already done so, do so now before proceeding with other fixes.

Forget iPhone Personal Hotspot on PC
If you have previously connected to iPhone Personal Hotspot on Windows, forget it. In most cases, this should help Windows detect it again.

Open the Start menu and select Settings > Network and Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks. Then select your iPhone from the list of available networks and click Forget.
Turn Personal Hotspot back on your iPhone and open the Wi-Fi menu on your computer to see if it appears. If so, enter your password (found in Settings > Personal Hotspot) and connect.
