Has anyone tried switching from standard single-vision lenses to high-index or blue-light filtering lenses? I spend 8–10 hours a day in front of a computer, and I’m wondering if they actually reduce eye strain or if it’s mostly marketing. Are they worth the extra cost?
I switched to high-index lenses with blue-light filtering last year because I work on a screen all day too. The lenses are noticeably thinner and lighter, which made my glasses more comfortable. As for blue-light filtering, I did notice slightly less eye fatigue by the end of the day, though it’s not a miracle fix — proper screen breaks and lighting still matter. For me, it was worth the upgrade, especially for comfort and lens thickness.

I switched to high-index lenses with a blue-light filter after long computer days and noticed less fatigue and clearer focus by evening, though regular breaks still matter. If you’re comparing options, the Contact Lens King site shares user experiences, lens choices, pricing details, and ordering info that can help you decide if the upgrade is worth the cost.
