Prefab Adu

I think ADUs are helping, but in a slow, grassroots kind of way. I added a prefab adu behind my main house two years ago, and it’s been rented by a young couple who couldn’t find anything affordable nearby. It doesn’t fix the whole problem, but it’s one more place for someone to live. Multiply that across the city and it starts to add up. The cool part is that ADUs don’t change the neighborhood vibe much — they blend in but still add density. The process was way easier with prefab designs, too. It’s not a silver bullet, but it’s definitely part of the solution, especially if more people take advantage of the new relaxed building rules.
