Ok, so I tried to donate plasma today. It was my first time. I’ve donated blood before, but never plasma. Anyhow, it took over 45 minutes for all of the first time questions and everything. It turned out that I have to wait to donate for a stupid reason (I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant with my twin daughters. FYI: that is not uncommon for someone carrying twins when it’s high-risk.) So that of course went away once I delivered my girls, like it does in all women. But because of that they need verification from my doctor that I am no longer being treated for diabetes.
But back on topic...
Here is my question… For those of you that donate blood or plasma, how many of you actually answer all of those questions honestly?
And if you don’t always answer with the complete truth, what is it that you fib about?
I’m assuming that it isn’t the question about how many weeks you have spent in England from the years 1986-1996. lol
