going against the grain

I want to preface this post with the fact that when you do cycles you should keep a good diary. Write something everyday. I would bet that most guys would say..."right when it was time to end my cycle was when it was really hitting" Thanks to my diary I know that deca/cyp is going to hit at 12 weeks. Eq at 800mg and 16 weeks. If I take eq 2 more weeks and/ or 1000mg then some funky type of mental state comes on.Thanks diary..I know to stop eq at 16 weeks! A few years back I was looking at when all my cycles would hit and decided to go against the current thinking. Why jumpstart my cycle with dbol? So I knew that my deca/cyp was going to peak at 12 weeks so at week 10 I started 30mgs dbol. At week 12 I could feel my cycle hit just as it always has, so I uped the dbol to 40mg and ran another 3 weeks. It was an awesome cycle. After that I never ever used dbol to jumpstart. I put it at the end. If you write everything down, you can then try something different, and experiment in a logical way.So there is my against the grain experiment that worked! At this point, again thanks to my diary, I know exactly how to do my primo,eq,deca,cyp,sus. To this day these are my favs, and now my onlys.
 
Yea I usually just make a little excell spreadsheet or something, and as time goes on I write some notes down and stuff like that

Very well said, and I agree with you completely. I think it's crucial and important to take notes, whether mentally or physically. Everyone needs to find out their own bodies, and what works best for them. We are all very different, and will react to compounds, and dosages differently. Once you learn what works best for your body with certain dosages, compounds, cycle lengths, etc it's easy to dial it in for the best results possible and a smooth cycle. Great post brother!
 
That's a smart idea. If I do another cycle... Or in a few years or a decade when my kids get older I'll try to remember this

Like I said in another thread man, you were an inspiration for me to get a notebook out and start tracking. It takes like 45 seconds most days, I write down mood, any gear or anything else I have input including food. Activities outside the gym as well like 3 miles kayak trip or 2 miles stand up paddle boarding. its not a continuous cardio workout but I can tell you after a weekend of that my legs, shoulders, hell everything is sore as fuck. I also right down any physical changes I notice as in separation in my delts or thighs, since I just noticed that today. Awesome post brother

Just like you have shown us several times, your notes that you saved have really helped you tremendously throughout your experiences and i completely agree with you on keeping notes and documenting reactions and experiences... it does so much for you in the short and long term... remember details of what you experienced, learning from this and ultimately improve upon it... your advice and wisdom is truly appreciated and a huge asset..
