Hey, first post. I've watched Dylan's videos for years and wanted to come here for advice.

I'm looking for thoughts on my labs, and whether or not they warrant going on TRT for life at age 23.
I experience all the symptoms, which are kind of ruining my life at this point. I'm 100% ready to go on forever. I feel like every other avenue as to what's shutting my production down has been exhausted.

It's been really tough to get any doctor to consider treating me. This morning I had a new primary care Dr. tell me TRT was illegal...anyways I got her to refer me to a urologist I requested who has a history with managing TRT. If that doesn't work out I'll consider doing TRT on myself. I got in with an endocrine years ago but they ended up saying I was too young for TRT.

Been bodybuilding 100% naturally since 16. I feel like I've hit my natural limit at these current testosterone levels. Training, diet, sleep, it's all managed very well. This isn't just about getting big, I really feel like shit and can't get a boner half the time I go to have sex. Lost my last girlfriend due to low libido.

Somehow I kinda look like I lift which makes it harder to get TRT, especially at age 23, because docs think I'm just looking to get on for cosmetic reasons. I've had multiple Dr.'s accuse me of taking prohormones and crashing my test. It's completely by chance that I happen to be an avid lifter who has low test.

Stats:

Age: 23
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 185lbs
Body fat %: around 20-25%, barely visible abs
Years of training: 8
Complete cycle history: N/A
PCT for each cycle: N/A
Goals: Not feel like shit
Supplements (if any): ZMA, 5000iu vitamin D, Whole Psyllium Husk, blend of all 9 essential amino acids,
General idea of nutrition: Balanced diet, eating at maintenance
Any other relevant info: Possible head injuries playing sports, untreated

Ur levels while on the low end are still in range. My guess is that they wont approve you for trt but i may be wrong. I would exhaust all other methods before turning to trt because most likely it would be a road you wont be able to return from.

Hey dude, who selected those bloods? Where is shbg? I see your estradiol is abnormal. I've been battling the NHS in the UK on several occasions. No one gives 2 shits unless your free test is below 10nmols.

Maybe consider a low dose arimidex for a spell. See if that helps?!? Crush the estrogen to see if it improves. Have you ever had shbg tested? Sorry, I only looked at 2018. If that was high, maybe give proviron a try. Or fuck it, try proviron anyway! Its not really an AAS per so you'd still be a natty, technically lol

Btw, I hope you and Dylan don't mind me jumping in. TRT and battling doctors is something I have XP, of :)

Why vit D? I've assessed thousands of blood results over the years, but never seen vit D?!?! Wtf???

The bloods were selected by a handful of different doctors and physician assistants who I see at my primary care clinic. All of them are not very well informed so the labs are missing stuff. I was going to try clomid at one point but because my LH and FSH came back fine in one of the 2014 labs we didn't do that.

As far as the estrogen, I was told by my primary care provider that my estradiol(e2) levels were normal, and that my high total estrogen values didn't matter as e1 doesn't really do anything.

They wanted to measure vitamin D for some reason. I believe it does have some effect. My test did go up when I got it in range with supplements.

I'll research proviron a bit. Thanks!

I would seriously get shbg checked along with DHT. If shbg high, you can hit it with proviron. Plus low dose AI for the abn estrogen and if DHT low, the proviron will give the body a mild boost of it, too!

If none of that works, you could trial your own hrt cycle and see if its what you expected. But seriously, at 23, you need to exhaust every other avenue first! I went to an endo in mid 20s with a test level of around 10.4nmols. Shbg was 50 (bang on upper limits again!) And they did nothing. Since then i went thru an online GMC reg pharmacy and as my test was below 12 but over 10, they Px'd testogel. It was OK tbf. Nothing crazy but I did feel better but at £66 a month plus £25 bloods, I ended that!

Maybe go spend some money on a potent natural test booster and a natural estrogen suppressor in the meantime, perhaps. Good luck, bro

How can they fully assess your sexual function without all the sex hormones?!? What jokers!! Mate, bit of advice - be your own doctor! Tell them what you want checking! Its your blood and your body! No body cares about you more than YOU!

Fair point about the estradiol. I missed the total bit. Apologies. Still tho, surely they could isolate the E2??? If the E1 does nothing, why test the total?!? Lol

They are not really experts in TRT or the proper blood tests that they need to run. I've been doing my best to push them in the right direction.

Its not easy, bro. But learn it all yourself is my best advice. I went to my gp and she said "oh, you probably know more than me on this topic. I'm not sure what bloods to request". Lmao

Bro, you should look into the success that's been had with clomid in hypogonadal males! Unbelievable results! Almost as good as TRT participants in test levels but significantly higher LH/FSH plus it boosts sperm count where exog test makes you infertile! Once my PCT has ended, I'll stop the nolva and continue with the clomid long term and see how I feel!
