Hesitate to start TRT

Hi folks,

Im very anxious to start my TRT regimen , due to the fact that when i was 20 years old, i did a deca / dianabol cycle in which i had to stop due to serious ache in the testes. It was like a strong jabbing pain and certainly not very fun.
Had this not happened i would probably have done a lot of cycles in my time ( im 41 today)
Now i want to start to start TRT due to low Testosterone, my last labtest said 370 so im definitely scraping bottom.

How can i be sure the testes pain will not occur when starting my TRT regimen?? Will HCG prevent this and will i be bound on it for life??
I have read that people are experiencing the same fenomenon so i dont know what to do. Is it worth it just to get me back as a 25 year old again i really dotn know.

Help me out guys, what do you think??

Kind regards

The first thing you need to ask is how do you feel, your on the lower side but I believe still in range, if your struggling and suffering because of Low T then it may be an option, but if your chugging along ok, then it might not be worth it too you, especially if you may have an issue doing it.

Morning brother when you get on trt the balls are going to shrink that's a given however I have never had any sort of pain 370 is low however it is still in range are you putting yourself on trt or have you been seeing a endo chronologist.... it definitely renews some vigor especially as far as libido but jumping into it if you stay on you have to take into consideration that it is a possibility of a lifelong being a slave to the needle every week just got to make sure you're doing it for the right reasons AKA quality of life rather than just to get jacked sorry on my way to work I hadn't looked at any of your info or history so not judging just giving you a shout-out bro...

By the way I did it for both quality of life and to get jacked LOL of course my range was about 170 to 200 and I'm 39 years old

Hi Joe S,

Well you can say im chugging along. The most obvious is low libido and poor erections. I have relied on Cialis for the last couple of years which makes me feel normal and ready to go at all time. But to be depended on this vs TRT for life make me torn :-/

Hi Perkins0016.

You have not experienced any pain, you are not on hcg ? Im aware that the pain is because of your testes shutting down and shrinking so in my world this can be avoided by taking hcg along the trt. I just dont know if its optimal or i will ware out the receptors with time..
I have been talking to my doctor about TRT but he dont know enough about it. In denmark we have not yet gone this route in medicine but im sure its on its way, the way society is coming along. I have researched this topic for years now so i will jump the boat and proclaim that i know more on this subject than normal doctors do.
Yes i am aware its for life, but that i am prepared for. I live in Thailand and all products i need for the regimen is easy to get here. Its the first injection that is the biggest step for me.
Cheers

Are you planning on going to see a doctor or self prescribing?

Self prescription comes with a lot of responsibilities. Blood work, trial and error for all hormone levels to be lined up. Slot of ppl who self prescribe don’t take action on their health so give it real thought

absolutely agree... its not something i generally recommend or am comfortable recommending but we all make our own decisions... you just need to fully grasp what kind of responsibility and outcome could come along with the choice

The medical “normal” range is quite wide. It really depends on how you feel. My doctor advised me he treats the individual not the number. TRT is a big responsibility. You must be willing to accept what comes with hormone replacement or deal with the repercussions of misuse. For me personally, the positives outweigh the negatives. Every person is different. Good luck brother.

I would not advise sejf prescribing trt unless absolutely necessary. There's a lot that goes into making the right dosages and decisions with trt through bloodwork and it's not just about test numbers

If its any help. I did deca for the first time last year and it made my balls ache and my erections were constant and painful for the first couple weeks and then went away. Assuming that is all you took and did not run deca, dbol, and test together. I have never had that experience with just running test alone. I haven't run deca since. Maybe it was the deca that did it to you because no other compound has done it to me.

So I’ve been on Dr. prescribed TRT for a while and also used UGL gear for cycles. With co-pays and the shear hassle of having to go to the Dr. I’ve occasionally just used UGL for TRT without going to the doc and that’s been a collossal mistake because the disclipline of going to the doc and getting your blood levels checked MONTHLY is important and not so much to check the test levels, but rather the estrogen.

I have personally found that my body’s aromatase enzyme situation is subject to pretty large swings and even without dramatic physical or mental symptoms, my estro levels can fluctuate pretty dramatically.

Just because you think you’ve dialed in the right dose of an AI for 6 months doesn’t mean that you won’t need to change it in month 7.

An example: I was using 0.5mg of Arimidex every third day and keeping the estrogen from 200mg/week of test in a good stable place for six months. In month 7, my estro jumped to, no joke, 9x above the high-end of normal. We immediately re-tested it and got the same result.

Up the dose to 1mg every other day and, guess what, the next test three weeks later showed we’d crashed it.

Without seeing the doc monthly and getting the blood work done, I could have ended up with some really nasty symptoms that would have made my symptoms for getting in TRT to begin with seem like a walk in the park.

That’s just my experience, and it’s perhaps extreme, but it’s a real world example of just how serious this stuff can be.

I consider low T to be a disease and I wouldn’t treat another disease on my own.

How many women self-treat with hormone replacement therapy?

My guess is the percentage isn’t so high.

Are men uniformly smarter than women? I suspect not and, in fact, judging by the number of men who self treat TRT, I suspect we’re a lot more reckless on occasion!

TRT done well is fantastic. If you are going to self monitor, you will need more than just a few Youtube videos. This is not something you want to start and then stop in 3 months because you don't know what you're doing. I'd certainly try and find a doc or at least do some heavy reading on the subject. As for being dependent on it, you have been dependent on testosterone since the day you were born. You're just running out of it now that you're 41.

Thank you all for your answers.
Maybe i need to explain myself a bit more precise.
I certainly are planning to have an endo doc with me for the ride, meaning i will give myself all the shots and AI. And ever since this will be so new for me i am off course going to get my bloodwork done every month for the first long period of time untill im pretty well dialed in and have gotten experience with how i feel on the regimen.I am not a careless individual but take this stuff very seriously.
The first shot and the first month certainly will be very exiting and a big step for me.
Cheers guys.

noone is calling you careless, we are simply explaining how serious this is... thats why you are here i assume, to get help and have people advise you... noone once called you careless...

Ya bro everyone's here to help it's like one big brain..... one big heart .....one big soul....lol that sounds cheesy... but that's how I see it
