How is it that he passed drug tests then the ones that are closest to fight day the picograms show back up?
The long term metabolite in his system has a pulsating effect. Jeff novistky does a great job explaining the exact science behind this but basically it pulsates and on the drug tests it could show up 20 picograms one day and the next it won’t be there. But it is a long term metabolite that can remain in your body for years and has been happening with low profile fighters as well. The testing from USADA is getting too good because technically he is failing the drug test but it has been ruled multiple times that there’s is no performance enhancing benefits in that small amount.

You know what's funny? Nowhere in the literature, literally anywhere, is androgen blood level pulsing described - when he claims it's been seen in MLB players, that was clomiphene, and I hope we all know clomiphene isn't an androgen and you can't go assuming two different classes of drugs have the same pharmacokinetics. Novitsky isn't "explaining" so much as "claiming". You can't go verify what he had to say, anywhere, not in any journal article, not in any paper. You're just repeating what Novitsky said like it's authoritative.. but it isn't, not in and of itself, that's circular. I suppose it's possible USADA has sensing methods 1,000 times greater than any university or pharmaceutical lab in the country (possible...); however, what's fairly sketch is when Novitsky was pressed about how sensing methods got so much better recently, he brings up how Rodchenkov's work gave them a sensitivity for detecting the M3 metabolite (by the way I've read Rodchenkov's paper and a Canadian/Chinese research paper that came after and updated Rodchenkov's work, which Novitsky claims doesn't exist), but what's funny is you can't even explain new methods with Rodchenkov's paper because this was July 2018 that Jones pissed hot and Rodchenkov's paper/method is from 2013. And Rodchenkov's paper describes the M3 metabolite's lifetime at the outside, at 40 days. And the followup work that improved on his method, found it to be 14 days.
The most cursory cross check of everything Novitsky's parroted about this doesn't really pass the smell test if you have the publication background to consume and digest the material that's out there in the journals.
